Whether you are a professional motorcycle competition rider, and are in need of the top racing suits, or you are an amateur racer, looking for top of the line quality suits, there are many producers, styles, and sales outlets to purchase your racing suits from.

When on the market for the best suits, the first considerations to think about are: which suits will be the safest while riding (in the event I get into an accident), which suits will give me the best traction (and reduce the most drag), which suits are the most comfortable for the race, which material to purchase, what brands to consider, and how much am I willing to spend on this suit?

The most important aspect in a suit is keeping you protected in the event an accident occurs on the track. Making sure the suit you purchase is fire resistant, wind resistant (to improve speeds, and reduce drag), and heavy duty enough to make sure your entire body is protected in case of a fall, are all considerations to take into account when buying a suit.

You must also consider the comfor level and the materials available when you are purchasing a suit. You can get racing suits (and racing pieces – pants, tops, gloves, etc), in almost any material you can think of. They are designed in: leather, kevlar material, Driv-fit material, mesh-like materials, and almost any other material which is fire resistant (and most of the materials are also water resistant). Making sure the suit keeps you cool, comfortable, and gives you a smooth ride are essential to being comfortable during the race, and doing well on the course.

You must of course consider prices as well. Racing suits, at least the better quality suits, can run pretty high in price, depending on where they are purchased from, the brand name, and the material of the suit. Also, plus size suits will be more expensive. So, when considering prices, the material of the suit will come into play.

Lastly, if you are style concious, many riders are interested in a unique design or patterns on the suit. Almost all manufacturers will do custom design suits, but they will come at a premium price.

No matter where you buy your racing suit, you must make sure it will keep you safe, is made of quality materials, and will get you the best times while on the track during your race.
